Detailed Itinerary: 3-Day Gorilla trekking safari in Uganda
Day 1: Flight to Kihihi Airstrip Near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
From your hotel or place of stay in Entebbe, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport where an Aero link staff member will assist you with the check-in and transfer to your domestic flight to Kihihi Airstrip. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your dedicated driver who will welcome you and transfer you to your lodge in Buhoma sector of Bwindi Forest.
In the evening, you might embark on a two-hour immersive walk through the Bakiga and Batwa communities to connect with local culture. You will Begin at a small tea farm where you can meet tea pickers and try your hand at plucking tea leaves. Next, you will visit a banana beer brewery to see how bananas are mashed, fermented and distilled into a popular regional drink and then you will continue to a local hospital supported by the camp where you will learn about its impactful community projects. Finally, you will continue to a nearby village to meet a traditional healer who shares generational knowledge about medicinal herbs sourced from the forest and then cap off your evening with a performance by the Batwa community before returning to the camp for dinner.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience
After breakfast at your Lodge, you will be transferred to the gorilla trekking starting point. Here you will be briefed about the gorilla trekking rules while your guide takes care of the practicalities. After briefing you set off into the forest with a specialized guide who leads you to the point where the gorillas are. For one unforgettable hour you are in the area of the mountain Gorillas seeing them in their daily life, with a chance to spot some forest interior birds. After trekking the gorillas, you will have your packed lunch and you will head back to the starting point where your driver will pick you and take you back to the lodge for refreshing.
Day 3: Flight from Kihihi Airstrip to Entebbe International Airport
Today you will bid farewell to Bwindi after one last breakfast then transfer to the Kihihi Airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe International Airport (EBB) arriving in time for your connecting flight marking the end of the trip.
