About Uganda

Uganda is a compact and diverse East African country whose landscapes and wildlife offer some of the continent’s most memorable nature experiences. Its capital Kampala sits near the shores of Lake Victoria while most international visitors arrive through Entebbe International Airport the country’s main gateway.

With its biodiversity, accessible parks and a welcoming atmosphere, Uganda stands out as a destination for gorilla trekking, chimpanzee encounters, birdwatching and traditional wildlife safaris all within a relatively small and easy-to-navigate country.

Gorilla Trekking

Gorilla trekking in Uganda is one of Africa’s most exclusive wildlife encounters. The experience takes place in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, both located in the country’s far southwest where ancient equatorial forests and volcanic slopes protect the world’s largest remaining population of mountain gorillas.
